Auto-Discovery via Bonjour

The Auxfeed plugin advertises each stream via Bonjour (mDNS) on your local network. The iOS app scans for active streams and lists them automatically. When you start a new session, open the app — your stream is already there. No configuration required.

Multiple streams from multiple plugin instances appear as separate entries in the list. Switch between the master mix, vocal bus, or drum stem with a tap.

Landscape Mode

All four orientations are supported. In landscape, iPhones activate both the bottom speaker and the earpiece for true stereo output — left channel left, right channel right. The UI adapts to fill the wider view: wider meters, larger LUFS readout, all controls within reach.

This is the closest your iPhone gets to a dedicated monitoring speaker.

AirPlay Output

Route the stream to any AirPlay 2 device — HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, third-party AirPlay 2 speakers. Monitor from the live room, the lounge, or across the hall. The native AirPlay picker is built into the app. Dim and mute controls work regardless of which output route you choose.

Note: AirPlay adds 1–3 seconds of latency. For monitoring where timing matters, use iPhone speakers or wired headphones.

Dim and Mute

Dim drops the receiver level by 20 dB — useful when someone walks in to talk. Mute silences the output entirely. Both are receiver-side only. Your DAW output is unaffected.

PCM Lossless — bit-perfect audio at any sample rate (44.1, 48, 88.2, 96 kHz)
Opus — royalty-free, 64–320 kbps, excellent quality at low bandwidth
AAC — Apple AudioToolbox, good quality at moderate bitrates

Codec selection is made in the plugin. The iOS app decodes whatever the plugin sends.
