Getting Started
Install the plugin, connect the app, and stream your first mix.
What do I need to use Auxfeed?
You need the Auxfeed DAW plugin on your Mac or Windows PC, and the Auxfeed app on your iPhone or Android device. For local monitoring both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Remote monitoring from anywhere requires an Auxfeed Pro subscription.
Which DAWs are supported?
Any DAW that supports AU, VST3, or AAX on macOS or Windows: Pro Tools (AAX), Logic Pro (AU), Ableton Live (VST3/AU), REAPER (VST3/AU), Cubase/Nuendo (VST3), Studio One (VST3/AU), and others.
How do I install the plugin?
Download the installer from auxfeed.com/download. Mac: run the .pkg — the plugin installs into your system plugin folders automatically. Windows: run the Setup .exe. Restart your DAW afterward so it scans for the new plugin.
How does auto-discovery work?
The plugin advertises itself on your local network using Bonjour (mDNS). The app finds it automatically — no IP address needed. Open the app while the plugin is running in your DAW and your session will appear. Tap to connect.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Local Wi-Fi streaming requires no account, no login, and no subscription. Just install the plugin and the app. An Auxfeed Pro account is only needed for remote streaming, recording, and advanced metering.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. The Auxfeed Android app is available on Google Play. It supports local Wi-Fi streaming with PCM lossless and Opus codecs. Note: AAC is iOS-only (Apple AudioToolbox is not available on Android).
Does the plugin work on Windows?
Yes. The Windows plugin supports VST3 and AAX formats. Note: AAC codec is not available on Windows (it requires Apple AudioToolbox). Use PCM lossless or Opus instead.
How is Auxfeed different from Audiomovers LISTENTO?
LISTENTO charges $99–$200/yr. Auxfeed's local Wi-Fi streaming is free forever — no account, no trial, no time limit. Both stream real-time audio from your DAW. Auxfeed Pro ($9.99/mo or $79/yr) adds remote streaming, recording, and advanced metering if you need it.

Audio & Quality
Codecs, sample rates, latency, and AirPlay routing.
Which codecs are available?
PCM Lossless — bit-perfect, maximum quality, higher bandwidth (~5–10 Mbps for stereo 48 kHz). Best in the studio.
Opus — excellent quality at low bitrates (64–320 kbps), royalty-free, great over Wi-Fi and remote connections. Supports up to 48 kHz.
AAC — Apple AudioToolbox, iOS and macOS plugin only. Not available on Windows or Android.
What sample rates are supported?
PCM lossless supports any sample rate your DAW supports: 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz. Opus is capped at 48 kHz — 96 kHz sessions are downsampled when Opus is selected.
What is the latency?
On local Wi-Fi with PCM or Opus, typical latency is 20–100ms depending on your network and DAW buffer size. AirPlay adds 1–3 seconds on top. Remote streaming (Pro) adds relay latency — typically 50–200ms additional depending on distance.
Can I route audio to AirPlay speakers?
Yes. The iOS app can route its output to any AirPlay-compatible device — HomePod, HomePod mini, AirPlay 2 speakers, Apple TV, and third-party AirPlay devices. Use the audio output picker inside the app. Note: AirPlay adds 1–3 seconds of latency.

Connectivity & Setup
Wi-Fi discovery, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
How do I stream to a device on a different network?
Remote streaming requires an Auxfeed Pro subscription. Pro routes audio through our relay so the plugin and the app don't need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. No port forwarding, no VPN, no static IP.
My app can't find my plugin. What's wrong?
Check these, in order: (1) Both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not the guest network, not a different SSID). (2) Your Wi-Fi router allows mDNS/Bonjour — some enterprise or mesh routers block it by default. (3) Your Mac/PC firewall allows incoming connections for the plugin host (your DAW). (4) The plugin is actually inserted and running in your DAW (not just installed).
Does Auxfeed work over cellular?
Only with Auxfeed Pro (remote streaming). The free tier is local-only — both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Pro routes traffic through our relay, so cellular, hotel Wi-Fi, or any internet connection works.
What about VPNs?
A VPN can interfere with Bonjour/mDNS auto-discovery on the local network. If you're running a VPN on your phone or computer, try disabling it and reconnecting. Remote streaming (Pro) is VPN-friendly since it goes through our relay.
⭐
Auxfeed Pro
Remote streaming, subscriptions, billing, and cancellation.
What does Auxfeed Pro include?
Pro adds remote streaming (monitor your mix from anywhere, not just the same Wi-Fi), mid/side/mono/solo monitoring, 3-band EQ, platform loudness targets (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube), integrated LUFS/True Peak/LRA, and recording (capture to WAV with playback). The free tier keeps full-quality local Wi-Fi streaming — no time limit, no feature restrictions on local use.
How much does Pro cost?
Auxfeed Pro is $9.99/month or $79.99/year (save 33% annually). A 7-day free trial is included. Cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
How do I cancel Pro?
Cancel through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) subscription settings, since billing is handled by the platform. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Local Wi-Fi streaming continues to work free after cancellation.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — Auxfeed Pro includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel any time during the trial and won't be charged. Trial access is managed through your App Store or Google Play subscription.

Troubleshooting
App crashes, no audio, missing sessions, logs.
The plugin shows "Disconnected." What do I do?
The plugin is running but no app is connected. Open the Auxfeed app on your phone or tablet. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. Tap the session in the app to connect. If the session doesn't appear, see the connectivity troubleshooting questions.
I hear clicks or dropouts. How do I fix them?
Dropouts usually mean your network is congested or your DAW buffer is too small. Try: (1) Larger DAW buffer (256 or 512 samples). (2) Switch codec from PCM to Opus (lower bandwidth). (3) Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or switch to 5 GHz. (4) Close other bandwidth-heavy apps on your phone. (5) Check that AirPlay isn't adding buffering on top.

Android
Android-specific setup, codec notes, and limitations.
Why no AAC codec on Android?
AAC support is provided by Apple's AudioToolbox framework, which is iOS/macOS only. On Android, use PCM lossless for maximum quality or Opus for efficient streaming over Wi-Fi. Both are available for free.
Does the Android app support landscape mode?
Yes. Rotate your phone sideways to see full-screen stereo meters — the same landscape layout as iOS. Works great with a phone stand next to your DAW.
