David Payette is a professional musician and audio engineer with over 20 years of experience producing, mixing, and engineering music. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany (2012) in Electronic Music & Media, runs the Payette Forward YouTube channel, and is the founder of Payette Forward, Inc. — the company behind Auxfeed.

He built Auxfeed to solve a real problem he kept hitting in his own studio: hearing the mix on the same speakers his listeners would. After years of bouncing previews, AirDropping to his phone, and walking through the kitchen to check the mix on a HomePod, he wrote the plugin he wished existed — then made it free.

Why Auxfeed exists

Most mix monitoring tools cost $10/month or more, require an account, and assume you want to send audio to a browser. None of them addressed the workflow David actually had: a working engineer who wanted to hear his mix on his phone speaker, his AirPods, and the HomePod in the next room — without exporting, without uploading, without paying $120/year.
